30 Day Music Challenge: Days 25 and 26

  • Day 25 – A song that makes you laugh
  • Day 26 – A song that you can play on an instrument

Day 25: A song that makes me laugh…I’d have to say “Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) by Tenacious D. I don’t really think I need to explain why this song makes me laugh…um, cause it’s fucking funny. If you haven’t heard it, please get out from under your rock and listen. It’s epic. Period. Moving on.

Day 26: um. Well, I’ve never gotten around to learning how to play songs I like on various instruments…but I can say what song I’d LIKE to be able to play. I mean, of course I want to play all songs I like. However, for diversity sake I’ll go with “I shot William H. Macy” by Head Automatica. They’re a good band and that song is so eccentric, I think it would be quite fun.

    Vids: Enjoy and Comment.

30 Day Music Challenge Days: 23 and 24

Aaaaaaaand here we go.

Day 1-22

Day 23 – A song that you want to play at your wedding

Heh, that’s pretty easy. I’d LOVE to have “Pearl of the Stars” by Coheed and Cambria played at my wedding. Actually, I’d rather have Coheed and Cambria just play at my wedding. I think I might die though…too much adrenaline 😛 It’s a romantic song, but still Coheed-esque. It’s a bit different than some of the other songs they usually make, but it’s a nice switch up. It would be sweet :)…perhaps that’s what I’ll do when I do get married lol we’ll see.

Day 24 – A song that you want to play at your funeral

I took a bit of time to think about this one. I like a lot of songs and a lot of them WOULD be appropriate for a funeral…but this one I think would be pretty damn fucking awesome. I’d have them play “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. It’s a fucking rock classic, an anthem…great song. I mean you can’t deny the sheer awesome-ness of this classic Metallica song. I think it would be a great song to play…I mean shit, I’m dead so I might as well be put in the ground to Metallica 😛

Feel free to comment and let me know what songs YOU would want at your own wedding and/or funeral. I’m interested to see what others would want. 😛

30 Day Music Challenge Days 21 & 22

Sorry. Being in the hospital has kept me from being consistent from day-to-day…but Here I am catching up 😛 Not that any of you care. Just Sayin.

Days 1-20

Day 21 – A song that you listen to when you’re happy

Day 22 – A song that you listen to when you’re sad

Day 21: Lol Well I listen to a lot of shit when I’m happy. Mostly Coheed. Actually, I’ll listen to them in any mood I’m in. 😛 I guess I’ll go with a song that puts me in a good mood? And try to not let it be by Coheed and Cambria lol I think I’ll go a bit far out of what most people listen to and go with “Bom Bom Bom” By Living Things. I don’t know anyone who has ever heard of this band and It took a lot of my usual hardcore music searchings to come across them. Though, I DO believe they played at Lollapalooza not too many summers back. So maybe they’re a bit bigger now. Not likely. But I do enjoy them a lot and I like knowing a small band. I just like how catchy the song is, plain and simple. It gets me into a less ‘draggy’ mood.

Day 22: Hm. Well I am a brooder by nature so I have a plethora of songs I listen to when I’m down in the dumps.  The one song that never prevails to bring me out of a sad mood…”Passing Afternoon” by Iron & Wine. This is probably one of the most beautiful Indie songs I have ever heard in my life. It’s so beautiful, rich and meaningful. The lyrics are genius, sheer genius. Samuel Bean’s voice is so tranquil and so…intense at the same time. I highly recommend giving it a listen, it’s amazing. It is one of the FEW songs that can make me cry…well, when I watch House Season 4 season finale…but you get the point.

Vids!

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 19 and 20. (Catch Up!)

I’m a day behind. My bad. 😛

Day 1-18

Day 19 – A song from your favorite album

– A song from my favorite album? Well, I guess I have to go back to Coheed and Cambria 😛 Nobody else would dare make this list other than them. My favorite album by them would be Year of the Black Rainbow mainly because I pretty much adore every single song…though I guess that’s the same with any album by them 😛 One of my favorite songs from that album is “The Broken”.  It’s so bad ass and sinister and just…fucking amazing. I love how it sounds and the dark undertones to it. It’s one of the songs that I think it a bit less noticed on the album compared to some others , “Here we are Juggernaut”, “Guns of Summer” etc. I’ll link it at the end of the post.

Day 20 – A song that you listen to when you’re angry

-Oh this one is easy. If I’m angry I listen to “Rocket” Skates” by the Deftones. Actually, I listen to it when I’m in a fantastic mood but still…But yeah. It’s a very ‘angry’ and exhilarating type song. It’s a song I live by, somewhat. I love the chorus “Guns, razors, knives. Fuck with me”. It really gets me going and I feel better afterwards. It’s a damn good old hard bad ass song. One of those songs you can’t help but head bang and get into. I thank Deftones for this. I’ll link this one as well.

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 18~

  • Day 1-17:

Day 18 – A song that you wish you heard on the radio

This one is irrelevant to my life because as I said in the previous post that I don’t listen to the radio much…however, I was listening to a song as I was thinking about this and it seems to be a good fit. The one song I’d want to hear on the radio, if anything, would be “In a Jar” by Brand New. Brand new is not the most known band but they are nothing short of amazing. Every album seems to be so different from one another yet nicely tied together. I like that they’re not hugely popular because it’s a nice rare gem that I have that none of my friends have. 🙂 I like the small amounts of screaming in the chorus, it’s a nice touch without being too overdone. It’s worth listening to. So! Here’s the link. Also, what songs would YOU want to hear on the radio that normally isn’t? Feel free to share. Bye Bitches ❤

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 17

Day 1-16

  • Day 17 – A song that you hear often on the radio

I don’t listen to the radio much but I recall over the summer…there were a lot of songs I liked that were on the radio ALL the time ( but I didn’t mind so much). Avenged Sevenfold released their album (first album since the death of the REV…r.i.p.) “Nightmare”. The song also titled “Nightmare” was a big hit (in the A7X family world at least) and was on the radio all the time. I was super excited when it came out…I was unsure of the future of A7X when the rev passed. I think this album, and song, was a great comeback. It gave a statement saying that they were ready to go back into the music world and start anew. The only Chicago radio station I listen to is Q101 (an alternative station) and it played “Nightmare” alllllllll the time. It was awesome. The video makes me laugh too because synyster gates is randomly banging his head against a wall…for like 15 seconds. It’s fantastic lol So here’s the vid 😀

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 16

Day 1-15

  • Day 16 – A song that you used to love but now hate

This one was rather hard because I love most of my songs. If anything I’ll get bored with a song and stop listening to it for a bit, but I rarely end up hating a song after while. So this one is only half true. A song I used to like a lot (not love) was “How to Save a Life” by The Fray. I liked that song (and the album) when it first came out…before it ended up being played over…and over…and over…and over again. It’s like, wow NOW everyone likes it. But nobody did when I liked them…it’s annoying. So for awhile I did sort of hate the song because everyone was a “fan” but only liked that one song. Plus it ended up being played more than “Hey there Delilah” (barely), which is saying a lot. But the phase passed like anything else and I can go back to listening to it 🙂 I won’t post a video because I don’t feel like it…and I mean who HASN’T heard this song? lol Kthnx

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 15 (Song that Describes Me…)

  • Day 1-14
  • Day 15 – A song that describes you

Now, upon first instinct I was going to put “Mother Superior” by Coheed and Cambria…because I’m a fucking alpha female rawr…lol Um. But then I realized I already put that one and I promised to be as original as possible and not put any duplicates. SO! I have to pick another song. Sorry Claudio ❤ I think I’ll go with “New Born” By Muse from their Origin of Symmetry album. This song is basically about struggle, at it’s best…when you’ve “seen too much”. I’ve been through a lot in my life. I’ve lost a lot of family members, dealt with cancer, dealt with self esteem issues, depression…I’ve gone through more than a person probably should by age 22. Yet, I’ve come out of it a stronger person who can deal with what life throws in the way. I also think this song is  just bad ass anyway because Muse is fucking awesome. I like listening to this song to remind me that even though I’ve endured a lot of hurdles, I’m not fucking dead. 😛 It’s somewhat inspirational, I think. But it’s hard to relate to if you’ve never really had it hard. But I think it’s a song everyone can like at least on a musical level 😀 There, enough soul sharing for one day. Here’s the vid, it’s pretty damn cool…but a bit odd. Enjoy!

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 14

  • Day 01 – Your favorite song
  • Day 02 – Your least favorite song

  • Day 03 – A song that makes you happy

  • Day 04 – A song that makes you sad

  • Day 05 – A song that reminds you of someone

  • Day 06 – A song that reminds you of somewhere

  • Day 07 – A song that reminds you of a certain event

  • Day 08 – A song that you know all the words to

  • Day 09 – A song that you can dance to

  • Day 10 – A song that makes you fall asleep

  • Day 11 – A song from your favorite band

  • Day 12 – A song from a band you hate

  • Day 13 – A song that is a guilty pleasure
  • Day 14 – A song that no one would expect you to love

Uh, this sounds kind of similar to the previous one…but I’ll go with that lol A song that people who don’t know me well would be surprised that I love…I’d say is “42” by Coldplay. I think this is because to people who don’t know me that well won’t expect me to like something that “chill”…most of my songs are a bit more hard sounding and coldplay is the opposite of majority of what I like. However, I do enjoy Coldplay. I like a lot of bands similar to Coldplay actually, but none of them are nearly as good. I can’t say exactly why I like “42” so much. It just has a good sound to it, it’s catchy and I do enjoy the lyrics. But yes, something more to tell about myself…I suppose lol As usual, I’ll post the video. I hope you enjoy.
