30 Day Music Challenge: Days 25 and 26

  • Day 25 – A song that makes you laugh
  • Day 26 – A song that you can play on an instrument

Day 25: A song that makes me laugh…I’d have to say “Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) by Tenacious D. I don’t really think I need to explain why this song makes me laugh…um, cause it’s fucking funny. If you haven’t heard it, please get out from under your rock and listen. It’s epic. Period. Moving on.

Day 26: um. Well, I’ve never gotten around to learning how to play songs I like on various instruments…but I can say what song I’d LIKE to be able to play. I mean, of course I want to play all songs I like. However, for diversity sake I’ll go with “I shot William H. Macy” by Head Automatica. They’re a good band and that song is so eccentric, I think it would be quite fun.

30 Day Music Challenge Days: 23 and 24

Aaaaaaaand here we go.

Day 1-22

Day 23 – A song that you want to play at your wedding

Heh, that’s pretty easy. I’d LOVE to have “Pearl of the Stars” by Coheed and Cambria played at my wedding. Actually, I’d rather have Coheed and Cambria just play at my wedding. I think I might die though…too much adrenaline 😛 It’s a romantic song, but still Coheed-esque. It’s a bit different than some of the other songs they usually make, but it’s a nice switch up. It would be sweet :)…perhaps that’s what I’ll do when I do get married lol we’ll see.

Day 24 – A song that you want to play at your funeral

I took a bit of time to think about this one. I like a lot of songs and a lot of them WOULD be appropriate for a funeral…but this one I think would be pretty damn fucking awesome. I’d have them play “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. It’s a fucking rock classic, an anthem…great song. I mean you can’t deny the sheer awesome-ness of this classic Metallica song. I think it would be a great song to play…I mean shit, I’m dead so I might as well be put in the ground to Metallica 😛

Feel free to comment and let me know what songs YOU would want at your own wedding and/or funeral. I’m interested to see what others would want. 😛

30 Day Music Challenge Days 21 & 22

Sorry. Being in the hospital has kept me from being consistent from day-to-day…but Here I am catching up 😛 Not that any of you care. Just Sayin.

Days 1-20

Day 21 – A song that you listen to when you’re happy

Day 22 – A song that you listen to when you’re sad

Day 21: Lol Well I listen to a lot of shit when I’m happy. Mostly Coheed. Actually, I’ll listen to them in any mood I’m in. 😛 I guess I’ll go with a song that puts me in a good mood? And try to not let it be by Coheed and Cambria lol I think I’ll go a bit far out of what most people listen to and go with “Bom Bom Bom” By Living Things. I don’t know anyone who has ever heard of this band and It took a lot of my usual hardcore music searchings to come across them. Though, I DO believe they played at Lollapalooza not too many summers back. So maybe they’re a bit bigger now. Not likely. But I do enjoy them a lot and I like knowing a small band. I just like how catchy the song is, plain and simple. It gets me into a less ‘draggy’ mood.

Day 22: Hm. Well I am a brooder by nature so I have a plethora of songs I listen to when I’m down in the dumps.  The one song that never prevails to bring me out of a sad mood…”Passing Afternoon” by Iron & Wine. This is probably one of the most beautiful Indie songs I have ever heard in my life. It’s so beautiful, rich and meaningful. The lyrics are genius, sheer genius. Samuel Bean’s voice is so tranquil and so…intense at the same time. I highly recommend giving it a listen, it’s amazing. It is one of the FEW songs that can make me cry…well, when I watch House Season 4 season finale…but you get the point.

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 18~

  • Day 1-17:

Day 18 – A song that you wish you heard on the radio

This one is irrelevant to my life because as I said in the previous post that I don’t listen to the radio much…however, I was listening to a song as I was thinking about this and it seems to be a good fit. The one song I’d want to hear on the radio, if anything, would be “In a Jar” by Brand New. Brand new is not the most known band but they are nothing short of amazing. Every album seems to be so different from one another yet nicely tied together. I like that they’re not hugely popular because it’s a nice rare gem that I have that none of my friends have. 🙂 I like the small amounts of screaming in the chorus, it’s a nice touch without being too overdone. It’s worth listening to. So! Here’s the link. Also, what songs would YOU want to hear on the radio that normally isn’t? Feel free to share. Bye Bitches ❤

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 17

Day 1-16

  • Day 17 – A song that you hear often on the radio

I don’t listen to the radio much but I recall over the summer…there were a lot of songs I liked that were on the radio ALL the time ( but I didn’t mind so much). Avenged Sevenfold released their album (first album since the death of the REV…r.i.p.) “Nightmare”. The song also titled “Nightmare” was a big hit (in the A7X family world at least) and was on the radio all the time. I was super excited when it came out…I was unsure of the future of A7X when the rev passed. I think this album, and song, was a great comeback. It gave a statement saying that they were ready to go back into the music world and start anew. The only Chicago radio station I listen to is Q101 (an alternative station) and it played “Nightmare” alllllllll the time. It was awesome. The video makes me laugh too because synyster gates is randomly banging his head against a wall…for like 15 seconds. It’s fantastic lol So here’s the vid 😀
